Homecoming Day Raffle Winners

Congratulations to the winners in the Alumni Association's Homecoming Day Raffle. A pair of Celtics tickets was won by Mary MacLeod, Class of 1973 and a $75 gift certificate to Sagra was won by Michael Bennett, Class of 1978.

Matignon Alumni sweatshirts were won by Teresa Hart, John Kenney (parent of a Class of 2010 student), Bob Kelley (Class of 1959) and Olivia Alphen Armato (Class of 1950). Matignon Alumni Long Sleeve Shirts were won by Paul O'Callahan (Class of 1984), Andrew Darrigo (Class of 1995) and Roseanne Bent. Matignon Alumni Golf Shirts were won by Simonetta Cordima (Class of 2011) and Janice Doneski (parent of a Class of 2012 student).

Athletic passes for the 2008 - 2009 athletic season were won by Olivia Harding - Tillman (Class of 1978), Georgette Farren (parent of a Class of 2011 student), Patrick Haggan (Class of 2009), Ginny Fontana (parent of a Class of 2011 student) and Doreen Callender (Class of 2010).

History of the Alumni Association
The Matignon Alumni Association was formed in 1949 and re-activated in the late 1980's as the Friends and Alumni of Matignon High School. In 1995 it was re-organized under the leadership of John C. Rennie '54. At the invitation of the school administration, a Board of Directors was formed from members of the Friends and Alumni and other alumni who had been actively volunteering at the school. A committee began developing by-laws for the association, which were accepted by both the Executive Board and the school administration in December of 1996. Today the Alumni Association is an integral part of the life of the school with over 8,000 members. Through the Board of Directors and its sub-committees, the Association aims to provide educational, social and financial activities that strengthen the relationship among graduates and support the catholic educational mission of the current school staff and student body.
